Quiet week for Kilcullen:
It's all quiet on the Kilcullen front this week with no matches involving the club. However there are other matches of interest. Ellistown play Geraldines in what is now the final game in our group of the U-21 championship (due to the withdrawal of Confey B). Also Athgarvan play Mourneabbey from Cork in the All-Ireland Junior Ladies Final in Cashel. It has yet to be confirmed if this match will be on Saturday or Sunday, a decision will be made tomorrow night. Best of luck to Athgarvan in the final. Best of luck also to Sarsfields in the Leinster Senior Mens Final against Kilmacud Crokes in Navan on Sunday.

Latest News:
Congratulations to the Under 15 girls team who beat Kill in the final last Saturday by 3-6 to 2-4. Well done to all involved. However the Under 21 men's team were not as fortunate, going down to Ellistown by 9 points to 6. Lets hope they can put last weekend's disappointment behind them on Saturday in their next game. They are away to Geraldines with a 2.30 throw in.

Dinner Dance:
Congratulations to Tommy O’Connor on receiving the CLUB PERSON OF THE YEAR AWARD at the dinner dance last Friday night also to Kevin O’Brien for PLAYER OF THE YEAR (its celebrations all round for Kevin at the moment who celebrates his 21st next Saturday night, hopefully after a win over Ellistown in the afternoon). A special presentation was made to our outstanding club presidents who over the years have given endless time and dedication to our club – Billy Aspell, Andy O’Connor and Pat Lynch.

Under 15 Girls Final:
Best of luck to the U/15 girls team in their upcoming final against Kill. This final takes place in Ellistown pitch at 12 noon on Saturday 19th, 2005. All the hard work has finally paid off for this bunch of girls and their mentors with this being their first final.

All Support Greatly Appreciated.

Under 21 B Championship:
With Senior and Division 1 status retained, the attention now switches to the Under 21's who begin their championship at home to Ellistown at 2pm on Sunday. We should have a strong team this year with a number of senior players and also a few from the minors who reached the county final. Best of luck to all involved.
PS: Congratulations to Athgarvan Ladies on their All-Ireland semi-final win over Clones in Milltown on Sunday. They won impressively by 3-5 to 0-4 (including 1-2 from Kilcullen's Ber Coffey).

DIVISION 1 STATUS RETAINED:
The Seniors have beaten Naas in Moorefield to retain our position in Division 1. A strong second half showing featuring goals from Thomas Davies and Paul Jones was enough to see Kilcullen to a 2-14 to 0-12 win which now sees Naas relegated to Division 2. This brings to an end to what has been a difficult season for the Senior team but has nevertheless seen us retain both our Senior Championship and Division 1 status for next year.

Final Play-Off Decider:
This match has now been fixed for Moorefield this coming Saturday at 2pm. This is a vital game, as we must win to avoid playing in dvision 2 next season. A good support will once again be appreciated for the senior team's last game of the year.
PS: Congratulations to Athgarvan Ladies on their Leinster Final win last week and best of luck to them in their All-Ireland semi-final against Clones in Milltown on Sunday. There are numerous Kilcullen connections on the team.
