Mixed Fortunes for Juniors:
The Junior team started off the weekend badly losing to Straffan by a score of 2-11 to 2-5. However, they recovered well to post a seven point win over Kildangan on Monday night. This first loss however means the team will now find it hard to be in contention for league prizes at the end of the season.
Wednesday Fixtures:
The club plays two important Championship matches this evening. The Minors who were narrowly beaten in the final last year play the first match of their Minor 'B' Chamionship campaign against Kill tonight in Sarsfields at 7.30pm.
Also, Kilcullen Ladies play their first ever match in the Ladies Junior "C" Chamionship this evening. They play Clane away tonight in Round 1 of Section B, also at 7.30pm. Best of luck to both teams.

Weekend Fixtures:
Due to Kildare's match at home to Cavan in the All-Ireland qualifiers on Saturday evening, this weekend's round of Senior club games have been postponed. However, as if to emphasise that club football isn't all about the senior game, the club has no less than seven games in the next week at various levels.
Junior Fixtures:
The Juniors play two away games in four days when they travel to Straffan on Friday and then Kildangan on Monday. Straffan are without a win so far this season while Kildangan are going very well. These two matches should give a good indication of how the Junior team will go in the league this season.
Minor Championship:
Arguably the biggest game of the week for the club will be when the Minor team who did so well in this competition last season play the first match of the Minor 'B' Chamionship against Kill. This match takes place in Sarsfields on Wednesday at 7.30pm. All support appreciated.
Underage League Fixtures:
Under 10:Thursday 22 June,7pm: Kilcullen 'v' Monasterevin
Under 14:Sunday 25 June,11am: Two Mile House 'v' Kilcullen
Under 12:Tuesday 27 June,7pm: Two Mile House 'v' Kilcullen

Ladies Kick-off:
The Ladies Junior "C" Chamionship begins next week with Kilcullen entering a team for the very first time. Kilcullen play Clane in Round 1 of Section B next Wednesday the 28th June. Best of luck to all involved.

Juniors Lose Home-Record:
The Junior team lost their 100% home record when losing 3-06 to 1-08 to Monasterevin last night. This division has proved to be very open this year with all teams achieving victories over eachother. However, the rags will feel they are capable of coming out on top of all of these exchanges and can hopefully get back to winning ways next week when they travel to Straffan.

Athy Draw:
The Senior team have drawn 3-7 to 1-13 with Athy on Saturday evening. Two goals from Shane Lambe and one from Thomas Davis allowed the Rags attack to make enough of limited opportunities. Kilcullen were ahead going into injury time but an Athy attack which performed very well on the day showed enough composure to get up the field to secure what was a deserved draw.

Senior Fixtures:
The Seniors play a dress-rehearsal for the Chamionship when they face Athy, their Group D opponents, this Saturday in the league at home at 7pm. The rags seemed to be heading towards a safe position in the league in recent weeks but the disappointing loss to Confey last week has put the club right back in the relegation dogfight.
After last week's cancelled game, the Juniors will be eager to re-kindle their good form when they play Monasterevin on Monday at 7.30pm, also at home.

Underage News:
Underage training for six to twelve year olds continues at the GAA Grounds every Saturday from 10.00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. A new system for Under 8s called Go Games is being introduced. The Under 10 and Under 12 leagues are starting this week. Parents should note that a set of socks and shorts are presented to all new members on the payment of their registration fee.

Junior Match Postponed:
The Juniors sheduled match against Kill was not played last night and will have to be played at a later date. Apologies to anyone who went by this website and who might have travelled to Kill as I was unaware of this cancellation myself until an hour before throw-in.

Early Goals Enough for Confey:
One goal straight from the throw-in and another five minutes later meant that Confey were leading this game by 2-0 to no score at the beginning of a first-half where they were playing in to a strong breeze. The Rags appeared unable to take advantage of this wind advantage in the first-half but a combination of a string of Confey injuries and an improved Kilcullen performance in the second half meant that Kilcullen slowly pulled themselves back level before Confey got two late points to secure a 2-08 to 0-12 win. This is a disappointing result for the Rags from a match perhaps they feel they should have won and means the club now finds itself right in the middle of a fight to avoid going into the end of season relegation play-off.

Weekend Preview:
The Seniors play at home to Confey this Saturday at 7pm. This is another vital match for the Seniors in terms of league position with Confey only one point above the Rags in the current standings. Confey have been managed in recent times by current Kilcullen manager Steve Kinneavey and he will surely be hoping that his present team give a good account of themselves here.
The Juniors play travel to Kill on Monday evening for a 7.30pm throw-in, in the league. Kill lost at home last weekend to Monasterevin and will be looking for an improvement in performance here. Kilcullen on the other hand come into this game on the back of two consecutive victories and another win here could put the team into a good position to challenge for honous at the end of season.

Juniors Win Convincingly:
The Junior team registered their first away win of the season with a convincing 1-19 to 2-6 win over Ballymore meaning they have now won four games out of six in the league. Players registered some big scores on the night most notably Ray Ausberry who notched up 1-4 at corner-forward and David Phelan who got an impressive 0-5 from midfield. Next up for the team is another tricky away tie to Kill.
