Happy Christmas!:Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to Rags home and abroad. May all your black and white dreams come true. Aidan.
New Senior Manager Confirmed:Kilcullen have appointed Peter Dobbyn as their new manager for 2007, replacing Steve Kinneavey. Dobbyn was in charge at Grange for the last two years, winning the Junior Championship in 2005 and guiding the club to the semi-final of the intermediate championship this year. "They approached me a week after we lost to St.Kevins in the Intermediate semi-final. It's a step up for me and it's great to be up at that level, with Barney Rock (Celbridge) and David Beggy (Leixlip) in the county now" said Dobbyn. Club chairman Martin Whyte was also delighted with the appointment. "He was the one we wanted. He's mad keen to get into it and he's really impressed me. I'm already busy getting new footballs and bibs", said Whyte.Ladies Minor Game Postponed:The big decider in the Minor C, effectively a semi final, between Kilculen and Carbury, was postponed due to a breavement in Carbury, and this game and the Final between the winners and St Laurences are being held over to the New Year as pitches are suffering and few are available while many of the girls have work and other Commitments over the Christmas/New Year Festivities.White Stars Team named:The Nationalist White Stars team has been named. Unfortunately, neither of the Kilcullen nominations made the squad. However, the game is for worthy causes and will hopefully be a fitting send off to county legend Glen Ryan. The game takes place in Sarsfields at 2pm on December 31st.
