Senior News:The senior team lost their rearranged game with Ballymore last night by 2-13 to 0-9. The Rags were missing a number of key players with injuries and other commitments, and were made to suffer for it by local rivals Ballymore. The lads will be hoping to put this defeat behind them when they face Allenwood away next Tuesday at 7.30pm. Kilcullen were very unlucky to lose to Allenwood in the first stage of the league and will be hoping for revenge.Junior News:The Juniors lost their 100% home record against an impressive Ellistown on Monday night. The game was played at 13-a-side due to Ellistown being short players. Best for Kilcullen were Mark Dooley, Richie Galway snd substitute Ciarán Barker. The Final score was 1-13 to 0-9.

Kildare Nationalist SFC Draw 2007:Despite being seeded for the first time since the groups were introduced, Kilcullen have continued the tradition of getting a tough draw for the senior championship being drawn into Group A alongside Round Towers, Leixlip and Clane. Ballymore Match Called Off:The Senior match fixed for tomorrow night against Ballymore has been postponed.Senior Championship Draw:The draws for the the Kildare senior, intermediate and junior football championships will take place on Sunday 27th May i nthe KFM studios. These will be broadcast live around the county and will be accompanied by analysis of each group as they happen.Proceedings will commence at 2.15pm and continue until approximately 3.00pm.
Seniors Face Ballymore:Kilcullen Seniors have a local derby game with Ballymore on Saturday night in Division 1B. The game takes place at 7pm in Ballymore. Hopefully the outcome will be the same as in the first stage of the league when we beat them at home in a physical encounter.Junior Fixture:The Juniors will be hoping to continue their good home form when they face Ellistown on Monday at 7.30pm.Under 14 News:Hard luck to the Under 14 girls who lost to Moorefield by 2-5 to 1-0 in the semi-final of Division 2. County Under 14 player Sinéad Maher grabbed the Kilcullen goal. Meanwhile the Under 14 Boys face Maynooth this Sunday at 11am in Division 2 of their league.
Junior Defeat:Kilcullen Juniors were beaten by Suncroft in the league last night. In a scrappy game which wasn't helped by poor refereeing, Suncroft deserved the win, but the scoreline of 1-9 to 0-7 probably flattered them. Best on the night for Kilcullen were Brendan Hickey and Mark Dooley.

Senior Change Of Fixture:The Senior League game fixed for tomroow night with Allenwood had been postponed, due to hurling commitments of some of the Allenwood players. Instead, Kilcullen have organised a home challenge match against Spink of Laois at 7.30pm.
Race Night This Friday:Just a reminder that Kilcullen GAA club are holding a race night this friday night in The Spout. Horses are available from any committee member or from the Spout.Seniors Away To Allenwood:While all roads lead to Croke Park this Sunday to see the Lilywhites take on Meath, the Senior League still continues on Saturday night. The funeral arrives at Gormanstown church tomorrow night (Thurs) at 6pm with burial after Mass On friday morning at 11am.Dunlavin Easily Despatched:The Seniors had a comfortable win over Dunlavin in a challenge game last night, winning by 2-13 to 0-6. In a good all round team display, it was encouraging to see Aidan Carroll maintain his fine run of form, and also that a number of the Junior players were togged out and used in the match. This will hopefully lead to us having a strong panel in the upcoming games.

Seniors Beaten By Moors:Kilcullen were very unlucky to be beaten by Moorefield on Saturday night. Having conceded an early penalty, Kilcullen were always chasing the game and trailed by 4 points at half time. However, they kept plugging away and a goal by substitute Aidan Carroll and a fine point by Shane Lambe got the Rags back on level terms. However, the Moors got the winning score to win by 1-8 to 1-7.

Narrow Win for Juniors: Kilcullen Juniors beat Kill by 1-8 to 1-7 last night. The game was a heated affair and The Rags done well to hold on for a narrow win. Best for Kilcullen were Alan Barker who scored 1-2, Aidan Carroll and Kevin Fagan.
Senior Challenge Match: Kilcullen seniors have a challenge match at home tonight at 8pm against Dunlavin.
Senior League Part 2 Begins:The second part of the Senior league begins this weekend, with Kilcullen in Group B having finished near the botom of our first group. Basically this group will involve trying to avoid relegation to Division 2. First up for The Rags is a tough encounter with Leinster Champions Moorefield. The game take place at home in Kilcullen at 7pm on Saturday Night.Juinor Fixture:Kilcullen Juniors will be hoping to get back on track with a home game aginst Kill next Monday night in Senior League Division 5 at 7.30pm.Young Ragette Stars for Kildare:Congratulations to Sinéad Maher who played in Kildare's Under 14 Leinster Championship win over Laois. Kildare won by 3-5 to 2-6 and according to the Kildare Nationalist she "did brilliantly at wing back".Underage News:Kilcullen Under 14 Boys have an away game with Round Towers on Sunday morning at 11am in Division 2. Underage training continues to take place every Saturday morning between 10am an 11am. Anyone who is interested in helping with the teams, would be greatly appreciated.
Juniors Lose Derby:The Juniors lost by 0-9 to 1-4 against Ballymore in a poor game of football last night. Kilcullen never really got going in a game that was there for the taking. However, a couple players played well notably the two McMahons, Benny O'Brien and Hugh Hannigan.

Seniors Beaten:Kilcullen were well beaten in a challenge match against Ballylinan on Sunday morning. Things got off to a bad start when only 14 players turned up for the game, and were made worse when Brian Bell went off with a thigh injury and then Tadhg Shanahan fractured his collar bone, and they had to see out the remainder of the game with 12 players.
Senior Challenge:There is a break now in the league, untill the second group stage starts. So Kilcullen have organised a friendly for this Sunday at 12pm at home to Ballylinan of Laois.Ladies Still Flying:The ladies team have kept their magnificent run going with at 4-5 to 1-5 win over Carbury and a 5-18 to 0-6 win over Robert Emmets. Next up for the Ragettes is an away game to Kilcock this Sunday.Under 14 Fixture:Kilcullen are away to Moorefield in Division 2 of the Under 14 league, this Sunday at 11am.Upcoming Race Night:The club will hold a race night in The Spout on May 18th @ 9pm. Horses are priced at €10 and can be bought from any committee member or from The Spout.
Juniors Hammer Castledermot:The Junior team had an easy win over Castledermot last night, winning by 2-12 to 0-2. In fact, the final tally could have been an awful lot more. The game was played as 13 a side, due to Castledermot only having 14 players. Best for Kilcullen in a good all round performance were Benny O'Brien at centre back, David Phelan in the forwards and Man Of The Match Alan Corcoran in Midfield.
