Senior Fixture:
The Rags face the tough task of a trip to Allenwood on Saturday evening in SFL Division 1. The two sides have had a number of cose fought encounters in recent seasons, most recently when Division 1 survival was ensured for Kilcullen in the corresponding fixture last season. Throw-in is at 7pm.

Junior News:
The Juniors lost a challenge match against Naas last night. They will be hoping for a change of fortune against rivals Suncroft next Tuesday night. The game takes place in Kilcullen at 7.30pm.

Féile Laighean:
The Kilcullen Under 14's take part in the prestigious Feile Laighean tournament this Saturday in St.Conleth's. It gets underway at 9am, and the young Rags are in Group E with Rathangan, Castledermot, St.Kevin's, Coralstown/Kinegad(Westmeath), Edenderry(Offaly), Eire Og Greystones (Wicklow) and Muinebheag(Carlow).

VHI Cúl Summer Camp:
The VHI Cúl Summer Camp will take place from Monday 28th July to Friday 1st August in Kilcullen GAA Club, price per child is €60 and for a family of more than one child there is a reduced rate of €50 and third €40, for further information please contact John Mulhall on 087-2256501 or Sue Goulding on 087-6564090.

Kilcullen Beaten:
Kilcullen were beaten last night by a very impressive St.Laurence's side, with county Under-21 stars John Fogarty and Shaun Fahy particularly outstanding. The depleted Rags side were within a point at half-time, but the Larries pulled away in the second half. The final score was 0-16 to 0-7. Best for Kilcullen were Brian Bell, Paul Maher, Ger Shanahan, Mick Kelly and Shane Lambe.

Derby Day:
Kilcullen face old rivals St.Laurence's on Saturday night in SFL Divison 1. The Larries have been flying in recent seasons, but games between the two sides are always tight afairs, particularly in Kilcullen. The game takes place at home with a 7pm throw-in.

Junior Fixture:
Kilcullen Juniors will be hoping to put last Monday's defeat behind them and get back on track against Ellistown next Monday night in SFL Division 5. The game takes place in Ellistown at 7.30pm.

Under 14 Fixtures:
Boys Div 3 - Kilcullen v Balyna - Sun @ 11am.
Girls Div 4 - Geraldines v Kilcullen - Wed.


Golf Classic:

Juniors Beaten By Raheens:
Kilcullen Juniors who were minus a number of regulars struggled against Raheens last night. The Rags tried their best but couldn't match a strong Raheens side and lost by 4-12 to 2-4. Best for Kilcullen were Ciarán McMahon, David Hickey, Aidan Carroll and substitute Paul Coffey.

Kilcullen Battle To Victory:
Despite missing a number of key players, Kilcullen twice came from behind to defeat Monasterevin last night, and lay down a marker for this year's Intermediate Championship. The Rags trailed by 1-6 to 0-5 at half-time and came back to score 5 unanswered points at the second half. Monasterevin then replied and took the lead again, but Kilcullen, despite a disallowed goal and a subsequent missed penalty, still claimed an impressive victory. Best for the Rags on the night were Colin Fox, Paul Jones and Shane Lambe. Paul Maher also had an excellent second half when moved out to half-back, while substitute Aidan Carroll made a telling impact.

Rags Fixtures:
Kilcullen's Intermediate and Junior teams are both at home this week. In SFL Division 1, Kilcullen face Monasterevin on Saturday at 7pm, while in SFL Division 5, the Juniors face Raheens on Monday at 7.30pm.

Under 14 Fixture:
U14 FL Div 3 - Carbury v Kilcullen - Sunday @ 11am.

Underage Training:
Underage football training continues every Saturday morning from 10am.

Juniors Narrow Victory:
Kilcullen Juniors beat neighbours Ballymore by 1-9 to 1-8 tonight. The first half was very scrappy and finsihed 4 points each. But Kilcullen took over and dominated the second half. A late rally and a last minute goal by Ballymore was not enough, as the Rags clung on for the points. Aidan Carroll was the outstanding performer on the night, who having a penalty saved, fired over some fine scores. Others to shine were Hugh Hannigan and Mark Brophy.

Raggettes On Scoring Spee Again:
Kilcullen Ladies had a comfortable 9-21 to 0-0 win away to Round Towers this morning. The girls have been flying, and have racked up 3 good wins. However, they still have to face their tougher opponents.

Kilcullen Under 14's have a home game against Castledermot on Sunday morning at 11am.

Hard Luck:
Hard Luck to Kayleigh Cogan who was part of the Kildare Under 16 team who lost to Laois in the Leinster U16 Girls Championship. Kayleigh came off the bench and contibuted a point.

Birthday Boy:
Congratulations to Kilcullen player Colin Fox who celebrated his 21st birthday last Sunday night in Lumville House. A great night was had by all.

Ladies Minors Are League Champions!:
Two early goals were the difference, as Kilcullen Ladies prevailed in an entertaining Minor League final last night. The Raggettes had a fantastic first half and went in 3-5 to 0-5 up against Naas at half-time. Naas showed great spirit to come back after the break, but Kilcullen held firm to win by 3-12 to 1-13. It was a great advertisement for the Ladies game with great skill, tackling and some fine score taking by both sides.
