Huge congratulations to our U7 girls, who played their first ever matches on Saturday,

They played three matches as part of a Kildare LGFA blitz hosted by Naas.

The girls faced Naas, Leixlip and Maynooth, and mentors and parents are super proud of how well they played, and the girls had gret fun along the way too.

It's all action for the girls at the moment with another blitz scheduled this weekend over in Leixlip.

The weekly Kilcullen GAA Lotto Draw took place last night. The Jackpot was €13,700 but there was no winner.

Next draw will be next Monday (29/04/2024) when the Jackpot will be €13,800!!!

The numbers drawn last night were 8, 11, 13, 25. Lucky Dip winners (prizes doubled for this week as the Jackpot was not won) were as follows:

All Stars is for boys and girls with additional needs aged 5-12.

New members always welcome to join, and we are always looking for more volunteers too.

Sammy Treacy from the U9s boys team fulfilled a mi

Sammy Treacy from the U9s boys team fulfilled a mini ambition yesterday afternoon when he met Kilcullen's Ellie O'Toole.

Sammy travelled up to Parnell Park with his nanny to watch @kildarelgfa take on Dublin, and had his nanny pestered asking when a Kilcullen player was going to come on!

Ellie came on at half time for the Lilly Whites, and Sammy was a very happy boy indeed!

After the game, Ellie was delighted when Sammy approached her on the pitch to meet her and grab a quick photo!

"What a lovely gesture!" said Ellie yesterday evening, who has been bowled over by all the support she has been receiving from her hometown of Kilcullen since being called up to the Senior Kildare panel. "It’s really nice having the support from underage team and players."

Although yesterday's result didn't go the way Kildare hoped, there's plenty more big days to come for this talented group of players.

We're super proud of you Ellie - keep up the great work!

South Kildare Shamrocks got the weekend off to a g

South Kildare Shamrocks got the weekend off to a great start on Friday evening with a highly competitive game against Western Gaels from Blessington.

The freshly cut school pitch in the sunshine was the scene for this U12 inter-county match, and it was a very close affair.

Western Gaels had the upper hand in the first half, but SKS battle hard and came out on top in the second half.

The lads worked very hard with some skillful hurling played by both sides, making the coaches very proud going home.

Huge well done and congratulations to Izzy Mae Middleton and the @kildarelgfa U15s who beat Carlow in the Platinum Final this afternoon.

Izzy helped Kildare to victory by grabbing a point in the second half.

Brilliant performance girls - enjoy the celebrations 🏁💪
