Under 15 Div 5 Final - Kilcullen 0-7 Two Mile House 1-6 - Sun 4th Dec 2011
HEARTBREAK FOR THE RAGSThe Kilcullen U15 team were left devastated at the end of the league final on Sunday. In a pulsating game played in terrible conditions a late goal for Two Mile House was the ultimate heartbreaker.
The game started with the House on the front foot and two nice points gave them a good start. As the Rags began to settle they found inroads in the right end of the pitch which resulted in the next 4 points scored.Half time arrived with Kilcullen having the minimum to spare at 5pts to 4.
The second half continued with two very evenly teams going at it hammer and thong in a fine fair game that was a credit to both clubs. As the final whistle approached and the Rags one point to the good a goal was scored by the House. It was always going to be a case of whoever got a goal would win and unfortunately it went against us.The stand out players were Bevan Murray, David Sexton in the full back line,Alan Kenny, some fine point scoring from Ross Coughlan and special mention for Graham Lavin who played despite a fractured finger and the outstanding David MacMahon.
Well done to all involved,if ever a team deserves to get some silverware its this one... Heres hoping for next year.
