This evening in Kilcullen the U14 boys bounced back from some tough Feile A defeats to run out comfortable winners against Kill in what was a high scoring but very sporting friendly match.
At U14 goals can win games and that was certainly the case this evening as Kilcullen ran out 8-10 to 4-11 winners against the visitors. Both teams looked very dangerous going forward and Kilcullen rattled the net no fewer than 5 times before registering their first point of the match.
There were some fine performances right across the pitch from the Kilcullen lads with Mathew Baars and Jack Redmond leading by example in defence. Livewire Tom Bohan proved a handful throughout the match while Rossa Howard proved to be the engine room of the performance from midfield.
Up front Dawson Conroy gave a confident display at full forward with his supporting cast of forwards all chipping in to deliver a well deserved win for the Kilcullen lads.
Certainly a confidence building win for the U14’s and with a few more friendlies to come before they kick off their league campaign the young rags are certainly heading in the right direction as they prepare for the league.
A big thanks to Kill GAA for making the trip to Kilcullen this evening and we look forward to returning the favour later in the year.
